In Osttirol the mountains are calling - the Hohe Tauern National Park and the Defereggental to the north; the Lienz Dolomites to the southeast and the Hochpustertal to the southwest. In winter there are 350 kilometers of pisted slopes and 400 kilometers of idyllic cross country skiing tours to choose from. In summer there are 241 mountain summits over 3000 metres to explore and 120 alpine huts and shelters where hikers and mountain bikers are welcome to stop for a rest.
